Thank you, the massage and experience by the spa team was excellent, they are fab and friendly.
Sadly, the entrance to the spa was confusing and strange; with plenty of guests checking out as we arrived, we could not get to the reception desk to ask where to go, so tried to find our own way and a friendly staff member at the bar told us to go to the end of the restaurant (passing people eating their breakfasts whilst being very confused if we were doing the right thing and being ignored by quite a few restaurant workers until we were spinning around wondering where the spa was). With not being used to spas we didn't find enough information on what to do - there were no instructional indications in the locker room for where to put your dirty robes which would have been helpful for us to clean up after ourselves better. Also, no real private changing area (females and males separated though) unless using the single shower or toilet to dress in.
The relaxation area was lovely with the roaring fire and amazing views, but the constant visits with checking in guests having their tours was a bit disruptive and a little awkward sitting in robes and not a lot else.
The treatment rooms themselves were well equipped and soothing, the abundance of soft towels was exceptional.
We wished we had known about being able to order a coffee in the relaxation room, to help some information on the tables or the team explaining this to new guests could be beneficial.
Overall I enjoyed my massage, which really did help to relieve my muscles and was quite happy that I wasn't hassled at all, not even about buying any products.
Absolutely beautiful area, quiet and peaceful looking out over the sea and seals, just maybe some extra handy hints for newbies would help make the experience a little brighter :)
I am a regular visitor at Carbis Bay. It’s such a great spa. The massage was just right and released my tense shoulders. Remember to take your swimming costume to use the outdoor hydrotherapy pool, sauna and swimming pool. Lovely experience and great products available in the retail section. Aromatherapy Associates and Voya.
Always a great experience. Lovely staff, super treatments and fab products too!
