booked 50 min luxury spa pedicure in advance, arrived on time, was left to sit for 10 mins then asked to fill out forms which I had already given her! .. I was then with my feet in the footspa for a further 20 mins. ...so over half of my treatment time had been sat with forms and in water! I asked her if she was ready to start but she was busy with other clients flitting between us all - when she finally came over I had a brief scrub and foot massage that was around 7 1/2 mins long, then toe nail paint.. could of done that at home! disappointing
For the amount of money they charge (a good £10-£15 more than some charge in Stratford for example for the same Hot waxing) you would expect a certain amount of attention to detail. A lot of hair was missed or not pulled out from the roots due to simple mistakes like not going against the direction of the hair growth when pulling. I would have mentioned it at the time of waxing, but it was hard to notice until I got home and was able to look in better lighting. Thus because of this I know the wax won't last as long as my usual and cost nearly twice as much as I would normally pay in London. Not the best but okay.
I booked this as a present. Unfortunately my therapist didn't seem to want to engage with me but was more interested in telling her colleague about her complicated love life and getting it done as quickly as possible so that she could get a break. I felt that perhaps as the salon is quite busy with walk in traffic they therapists don't feel the need to worry about turning new customers into regulars or giving them a really ood customer service / experience. At 25 this is by no means a cheap and cheerful pedicure so I was hoping it would have been a bit better. The components of the spa pedicure could make it such a nice treat and relaxing experience but sadly this time I came away feeling my money would have been better spent elsewhere or to have done it myself.
