Lady who carried out treatment was very stern and not friendly at all. I was whizzed into the back room and waxed at the speed of light with barely a word. A very impersonal, unpleasant experience, which left me feeling a little sorry for myself. I won’t return.
The actual salon looks temporary and is not relaxing at all, you can here the shopping centre really loudly. The waxing room feels less like a room and just a partition from the rest of the salon. The woman was rude and too quick leaving me incredibly red and sore, and didn’t even offer me any lotion at the end. Half of the staff were too busy chatting to notice me for a while. Furthermore, as it was painful and I was wincing in pain a little, the therapist seemed almost annoyed and angry at me for not being completely still. So rude.
The staff were lovely however the store could do with being a bit cleaner and in addition I was a bit disappointed by the range of colours- there wasn't that many gel colours. Its also a bit more expensive than other places I've been too.
I would not recommend and would not return. Bad value for money and the setting is awful for anything but a quick manicure. I booked 24 hours in advance but still had to wait 15 mins before treatments started. The waxing room wasn't clean. The overhead lights are shining at the head of bed which isn't pleasant. there was no towel offered but the towel hanging up cannot have seen the inside of a washing machine this year. There was no chair to put my bag/ clothes on. I could have hung them up but didn't want to touch the filthy towel that was hanging up. An old cardboard roll was in the corner. The wax was overheated and too hot. Speed is prioritised over quality, accuracy and customer experience. I've never had a Brazilian wax where such a huge quantity of was was applied at one stage - three applications in total. Rather painful... and unnecessarily painful as the wax wasn't ripped off in one swift motion but many small slow tugs. The amount of wax I had to peel off my skin after the therapist finished was ridiculous, as well as painful. Sadly I had booked and prepaid for 3 treatments on the treatwell app so didn't walk out after the first but I was assured the massage room was at the back and quieter. The room was at the back but the same loud shopping centre noise was somehow louder. The therapist's solution was to play music at full volume (I actually had to put my fingers in my ears until the therapist came into the room to ask her to turn down the volume as I couldn't see where the music was coming from). There were two stray long black hairs on the towel on the bed. There wasn't a towel but a synthetic blanket which wasn't comfortable against my skin. During the massage doors opened and closed and it was so loud it sounded like people were repeatedly coming into the room. The massage itself was good and in a better setting I would have enjoyed it. Pedicure was average. Another stray hair on the chair before I sat down. Interesting choice of utensil - a microplane kitchen grater for hard skin removal . Again, speed over accuracy.... aggressive nail filing and then nail varnish in my cuticles. Overall, I would not recommend. It's not good value for money, the setting isn't pleasant and the level of cleanliness is questionable.
Great and friendly service. Value is good but the care lotion should be included in the price or charged online.
