I have had a hair cut at this salon but I cannot say it's been one of my most satisfying experiences at a hair salon. First, the salon was hard to find, I was looking for "Camden unisex hair salon" and it took me a while to realise that the salon was, in reality, under a different name, something along the lines of a "barber shop". When I finally entered it, I was told that my appointment was supposed to be at a different time. Luckily I had the appointment confirmation with me, so I showed it to the staff who of course could not say anything more (I wonder what would have happened had I not!). Then I was told that even though my voucher mentioned "wash, cut, blow dry and re-style", if I wanted a re-style, I would need to pay extra. I thought it was unfair and I replied that they should have mentioned it on their website. I was told that it was there but I could not see it when I booked the voucher. Oh well... As I have long hair that mostly comes at a surcharge in hair salons, I always watch out for details and this time no word on re-styling surcharges. "Fine", I said, "I will not do restyling". Somehow I felt that particularly in this salon, having a voucher (as opposed to paying there and then and probably more than what one would normally pay for the voucher) gets you pretty marginal treatment. Unlike other occasions when having a hair cut was a time to relax and enjoy, this time I felt quite uncomfortable and looked forward to leaving...Eventually I was given a basic haircut with no frills. As a low-revenue customer for them, I would be wrong to expect any better. I was relieved when I left the salon and needless to say, will not return.
Great haircut did exactly what I wanted, will definitely go back. Place is small and basically a barber shop but my stylist was lovely. Well Worth the visit.
Amazingly attentive service: I did not have much experience in hair colouring, but the staff face me advice on every detail. The result is wonderful! Highly recommended.
