Rather upset that the whole salon is now almost inaccessible to the disabled. I use crutches, and really battled to get up the stairs, and can only imagine how much worse it will be for the other older ladies who cannot manage stairs at all. I had severe chest pain by the time I got to the top, and, briefly thought I would pass out, and going down was almost as bad. The owners should have considered the disabled when making decisions to mpve premises like this.
1. The chairs are not as comfortable as your older ones from the last, more accessible venue on London Road.
2. The basins are smaller, and hurt on the back of the neck, and, it is awkward for the lasses to freely access the customer from the side, as they are having to continually walk around the front of one, from side to side to do things. Prior to this, they were able to stand behind one, and do the job of washing, rinsing and working with our hair, without the need to move continuously.
3. The staff are, as usual, wonderful, friendly, considerate and apologetic, and it is always a pleasure to have them work with our hair, as they take great care, and pride in their work.
