Enjoyed the swimming pool, the gym, steam, sauna and massage. The staff were courteous and the lunch was excellent. The atmosphere overall was very relaxing. The only downside was that water in the Jacuzzi was not very warm.
Had a really amazing break here with 3 friends. It was £165 each which included dinner, breakfast and lunch, over night stay, use of the facilities, bathrobe and facial - a real bargain. The location was remote enough to be quiet and our rooms looked out on the grounds. The facilities were clean - the pool was a good size with a spa pool attached. The sauna and steam room were small but not busy. The lounge and relaxing areas had many chairs and sofa and lots of nooks to sit and read in. The food was nice - I had a vegetable soup, ravioli and ice cream for dinner, cereal, bread and fruit for breakfast and salad, spaghetti and crumble for lunch. Lunch and breakfast were buffet. My facial was relaxing and therapeutic. Other people were mainly small groups of women or couples, and everyone was quiet and respectful of each other. My friends thought it felt a little dated but I had never been to a spa before and it was as I was expecting. We had a lovely time, felt very relaxed and it was a great price.
