Lovely visit to Cher salon last week. Was made to feel very welcome on arrival and was so pleased with the relaxed, family feel of the salon. Cher was bubbly, chatty and appeared to make everyone in the salon feel at ease. Cher did my hair and was professional and efficient. She listened to what I asked for and did a fab job! As someone with very thick hair, who usually when asking to have it thinned, does not usually have much taken off, I was very happy when Cher actually did thin it! I had a bikini wax with hot wax which was my first experience of this. I will definitely having this treatment again. I also had a shellac treatment, there was a great selection of colours and the treatment was great. I will definitely be visiting again.
I had a deep cleansing facial and was very happy with the results, my skin felt clean and my pores were clear. I will definitely be coming back for another as it was such great value.
Really happy to have found a good salon in the area! You can see the place is really clean and new, and Cher has been in the area for a number of years. I have had so many compliments on the haircut, Cher was a pleasure and everyone was lovely- with a nice community feeling in there.. ( even if I am too short for the shampoo chair). A good haircut, where someone with creativity and great eye to detail did a great job. Definitely will be back
The new venue is much nicer than the last, and it means they also have the proper pedicure chairs now. The one thing I would say is that both times I have been for a gel mani/pedi with Cher Salon, it has taken much longer than in other places and this time was no different. My appointment was at 11am and I still wasn't done by 2.30pm (I did have gel nail removal on my toes first) The staff are all very nice, but the lady who I had this time had not used the colour I had chosen before and she didn't realise how thick it was. As she applied it too thickly it didn't dry shiny and was in fact bumpy and tacky which is noticeable through the final clear top layer. My thumb nail was terrible and she offered to re-do it but I was at this point so late for another appointment that I had to leave it. However, when I got home the entire thing started to peel off so I ended up having to go back anyway where another lady re-did it and it was perfect. She said if I came in another time she would re-do the colour for me. The reason for the appointment was because I was attending a wedding the following day so having it re-done in a few days wasn't much good to me but I appreciated the offer. Also, the first lady was far too enthusiastic with my cuticles and caused a few of my fingers to bleed. This again didn't really allow for a nice finish as for the wedding I had redness and small scabs around the manicure. Unfortunately it wasn't the relaxing experience I was hoping for as I was stressed at how long it took and being late, and I regretted paying £60 for something that was not a professional job. Although I do believe this was probably a one off, I won;t be frequenting the salon again.
The Salon has recently moved and the new look is great - much improved. The owner, Cher, is lovely, very passionate about her work and nice to chat to. Maria did my treatment. She is very sweet and checks regularly if your happy with what she's doing. Her accuracy and concentration means her work is of a high quality. My nails look amazing and the shellac is lasting whilst I'm on holiday - as Maria said it would!
