I've been getting my hair highlighted for two years now and after visiting other big branded salons, all of which ranged from a disaster to disappointing, I've finally found the perfect hairdressers. I get balayage done quite close to the root which is SOOOOOO much better than highlights as it prevents leaking, a stripy look and a line of regrowth. Balayage means that the hairdressers can truely apply artistry with adding bits here and there to finish the look ie. lighter colours around the face. The hairdressers here at Chez Stephan have been exceptional every time (I think I've had 3 different hair dressers during my visits). They listen to the look I want, suggest which would work with my face and complexion and provide me with lots of wine!! I feel pampered and looked after everytime so of course everything about Chez Stephan deserves 5 stars. I've only given value a 4 star because the member prices are what I'd expect to pay at a full price salon and as a member there is a joining fee. But to have this incredible service I can justify paying it. The salon also has a cute little outdoor garden in the back which I think would be lovely for events but there have been occasions where I've felt a little chilly, but I'm a chilly person (the wine helps with this!). I would recommend Chez Stephan to anyone. I originally tried the salon out with wowcher and have been coming out of my way ever since to receive the great service of this salon.

It was a great day and I felt like home. Friendly and professional staff. The haircut is the best I had in a long time. Thank you. A plus for me was to speak French and listen to a French radio. It doesn't happen in East London! The wine racks were surprising 🍾🍷

Lovely venue and stylist, and a very pleasant and serene hair cutting experience. I will definitely be going back.

I think more could have been done without making excuses about why it couldn't, which the hairdresser had obviously been told to do so as not to give you much for the money paid.
