Generally really happy with my hair but the constant selling and telling me about the offers and deals available was a frustrating.
I was very impressed with my treatment at Chez Stephan. I explained to the hairdresser what I wanted (even though I wasn't exactly sure myself) and she explained the options and took time make sure I was comfortable. As a result I was very pleased with the result. I was treated to a complimentary glass of wine while having my hair done which was delicious and an excellent addition! They also explained the membership they offer, where you pay £50 for the year and get up to half price discounts on services and wine deals - an excellent option if you get your hair done regularly. All in all excellent service and venue and would definitely recommend!

I had a cut and blow dry and have awarded it 5 stars.
I got a Wowcher deal for one of their Keratin Blow-Out treatments, which seemed good value at the time. I have had a Brazilian Blow Dry before, but did not know how this one differed from a Brazilian Blow Dry that can last up to 3 months. I was told it was similar but didn't last as long, probably 6 weeks rather than three months. Well it didn't last even two weeks. My hair was back to its unmanageable frizz after one wash, so in fact I was very disappointed with the result. This is NOT to be confused with the rather more intensive treatment of a traditional Brazilian Blow Dry that takes about 2-1/2 hours. This Brazilian Keratin Blow out, takes approx. 1 hour and lasts no longer that 2 weeks in my case.

My hairdresser was friendly and welcoming (and the haircut was just what I asked for) but I felt like I was in a sales pitch. Throughout the cut my hairdresser was constantly mentioning products and prices and I had to turn down paying for extras the whole time. She brought out products to show me that I hadn't shown any interest in buying and had to turn down again. At the end of the haircut, despite my clear disinterest, she talked at length about membership of the hairdressers, handing me loads of business cards, special offers for other treatments and trying to get me to book in my next cut. Not that the hairdresser was to blame (I imagine she's been told to do this) but it really undermined the experience for me.
