I have been to this salon in Huntingdon about 5/6 times now, always through Treatwell and my single biggest bug bear is that this salon over books, over promises and then keeps clients waiting on average 20mins+ despite a booking system being in place. I have witnesses dozens of customers being made to wait with no explanation, other than being told to take a seat and then be ignored until they are called up. On this occasion having booked for 10.30, I arrived at 10.25 and only got seen at 10.50. It's very frustrating. And I was one of the lucky ones. I have waited 40mins once to be seen, with a booking! It is not a nice atmosphere, the music is awful and a repetitive instrumental. There is no conversation. It is not a friendly, relaxing environment. The manicure/pedicure itself is always completed to a high standard and this I cannot fault. The lady who did my manicure and pedicure was lovely and she's done my nails a few times. But if you're expecting to be welcomed with a smile, be seen on time and be treated with some warmth by the salon as a whole, this is definitely not the place for you!
Also, its worth noting, despite being advertised on Treatwell that they can do a pedicure with non-shellac polish, this is not the case. They do not use nail colours that don't require UV light to set them. Also, they use electric files to remove the old shellac instead of soaking in acetone, so is very harsh on your nails and causes them to weaken over time.
Overall, I would not recommend this place to friends or family. The only reason why I continue to frequent is because it's walking distance from my place.
I echo similar reviews… It was my first time here & I paid online for my appointment (Treatwell service faultless). I was not greeted or asked my name when I arrived for the booking and staff didn’t check nor seem aware what I was booked for or how much I’d paid. Staff not very helpful when questions asked re different treatment options or designs - luckily I had pictures to show what I wanted. Staff did not speak with customers, only spoke to each other in Chinese throughout the treatment.
