I booked and pre paid for me and my mum to have our nails done at Chloe’s Nail Spa & Beauty. We arrived and 2 male members of staff started on our nails. We weren’t offered a drink or asked if they could take our coats, we were just told to sit & they started our nails. Had I not already paid I would have walked out at this point and refused treatment. The male who was doing my nails was telling us how they had been broken into the night before & he was getting more and more angry as time was going by & telling us how he was taken to court and ’tagged’ for assaulting someone! As two women on our own, we were starting to feel very uncomfortable. They were talking to each other continuously in a different language & kept on interrupting my nails to make FaceTime calls to various people. A female member of staff arrived who took over my nails and the male who started my nails left the salon. The woman who took over made no conversation and was either on her phone or talking in a different language to the man who was doing my mums nails. She interrupted her phone call to tell me to wash my hands & when I hesitated because I didn’t know where to go she shouted at me! I was then told to pick my colours from the nail varnishes they had, they didn’t have a very good range of colours so had to change from what I originally had in mind. I had my nails painted and was left for 10 minutes with my nails under a lamp to dry. In the mean time my mums nails were finished but she had to get them re filed because the man who did hers did a terrible job filing them & left them very jagged and sharp. I was told my nails were done and that we could go. We left vowing to never go there again, within a couple of hours my nails on one hand had smudged, my mum contacted the salon and they said I could come back and they would repair but I am working long hours and couldn’t make it back there, my mum asked if they would offer some kind of refund and they said no and that it must have been my fault my nails had smudged. This whole experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I urge anyone who wants a quality experience to not come here! I have contacted Treatwell for a refund.
