I'd never come across Clifton Therapy as it's hidden away and the beauty treatments are an add-on to the holistic therapy centre hidden in a Clifton basement. I was really impressed with the natural light in the treatment area as so many salons are in windowless rooms; and my therapist was really friendly and very capable, multi-tasking between treatments smoothly.
However, the calm ambience was rather shattered by the extremely loud phone ringing repeatedly during my treatment and the owner walking in and out to answer it. Surely it wouldn't be too difficult to fit an extra phone handset in another room?
There was an issue with the description on Treatwell which implied a 2for1 treatment deal so I had to pay an additional fee for both treatments but the paraffin wax pedicure was very good.
I was less happy with the shellac nails - they normally last at least 2 weeks for me but started to chip after only 7 days, but for those 7 they did look lovely.
I had a dei tissue massage and it was excellent. She really outdid herself to get rid of all the insane knots in my shoulders. Would be five stars except when I arrived for my appointment (aw minutes early as I like to do) no one was there and I had to wait outside for nearly 10 minutes for someone to arrive. I wasnt upset and they did apologise.
Lovely place and lovely lady but not a good Brazilian waxing experience. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to recommend her for this treatment although am sure she'd be great at others....
Unfortunately I first had to rearrange the booking after waiting 45mins at the salon. When I came back, although the beautician was lovely, I feel she was ?unconfident in the skill, and both treatments were undertaken very poorly. Solution in my eye, and gluing my eye lid down by mistake. Also I felt the solutions where not kept on long enough for them to take, so my eyelashes looked the same as I left. I will not be returning to this salon for these treatments
