a. If I go to a spa/salon and am asked to remove my shoes I expect to either be given something else to wear or to find the floor clean.
b. I paid for a Brazilian wax and what I received was a normal bikini wax with a bit more off the top! Certainly not a Brazilian. I suggest the therapist requires some further training in what this constitutes.
At the end of the day maybe I should have expressed my opinions at the time, however I am not used to having to explain to a beauty therapist what constitutes a Brazilian wax. I would not go here again.
The massage was great, she targeted all the areas that were troubling me, although I didn't leave with the complete feeling of inner and outer relaxation that I have done from other places. The premises were clean, and quirky in a beautiful old house, but didn't have the luxury factor, but this isn't a 'spa' so you shouldn't expect it. Esther was very friendly and interesting with lots of experience and made me feel very welcome, with a cup of tea on arrival, she was happy to talk me me about the other parts of her business (spiritualism) which was really interesting. The chocolate facial was 'OK', I wouldn't choose this again (I wish she had tied her hair back as it dangled over my face as she leaned in).
Overall I really did enjoy the massage, it really was just what I needed, but if you're looking for a total luxurious pampering with all the robes, fluffy towels etc, this is not the place. But if you want a really good firm, targeted massage ŵithout all the fluff and frills, this is the perfect place.
