I was very pleased with the manicure, the lady was efficient and quick but paid proper attention to the nails so no scrimping on the manicure portion of the deal. The choice of colours is great and I find they last really well. Slightly expensive but given the location this is understandable.
This was my first visit to City Nails, which I left with mixed feelings after having my lashes done.
I booked for 6pm on Treatwell although received a call asking if I could come in earlier or later. I agreed to come in at 17.45.
I was also told that the Treatwell price was wrong and that I had to pay a difference of £10! I said I would rather cancel the appointment, to which they replied they would honour the price.
(The price is still £35 on Treatwell and another rival booking site).
When I arrived I explained that I had come in earlier for reasons above. Although no one seemed to understand or spoke English.
As I had already paid I waited until 18.15 (15 minutes after my official appointment time and 30mins after my unofficial time). I complained and was eventually told I would have to wait another 5 minutes, which ended up being 15. So in total I waited 45minutes!
I was offered a free file and paint although my nails are shellac so I received no compensation in the end for the inconvenience.
I'm used to hearing spa music whilst having lashes done. Instead, in City Nails, they play loud hardcore dance and rap music that I had to endure for over an hour.
The lashes themselves look great and have stayed on so far. I'm just not sure I want to risk booking here again.
