I went to Leyla on Saturday and was so impressed and pleased with the service I received. Upon entering the salon, the ladies at the front desk knew my name and appointment - it was a lovely greeting. I was then taken to meet Leyla to discuss my style and cut I was after. I felt like Leyla and her team really cared about my custom and wanted me to leave happy. I was so pleased with the way Leyla cut and blow dried my hair. She was attentive and thorough - exactly what you want in a hairdresser. I have booked to go back in at the end of April for a hair colour treatment.
I booked a blowdry on the same day and decided to have a treatment beforehand (which I paid for at the salon).
I arrived an hour and a half early so that my treatment could be left in while I waited for my stylist to begin with my blowdry.
The Kerastase treatment was good and fairly priced. However!! 15 mins AFTER my blowdry appointment time, my stylist Leyla told me they were "very short staffed today" and that someone else would be doing my blowdry.
I explained to the stylist how I always have my hair done (elsewhere) and she agreed to do just that. I made extra emphasis on the fact I was going out and needed my blowdry to last/ have the volume I was after. She left the pins in so I could take them out at home...
After a couple of hours, I let my hair out and to my disappointment it did not have the volume I was after. Worse still the curls completely dropped and by the time I got to the club, my hair was straight!
I feel I should have been told I wouldn't be seen by Leyla (the salon owner) as soon as I walked in because she seemed to have a better idea of how my hair should be styled.
So overall I'd say it's a nice salon, clean and friendly, but I was very disappointed with the result especially as I paid for a blowdry for a special night out.
