Several key elements were missing that I would expect in any back massage.
Other than the point when I physically turned over, my arms/shoulders were not repositioned at any point throughout, which is rather peculiar and slightly uncomfortable. There was no attention given to underneath the scapulae, which again, is uncommon in a comprehensive back massage and disappointing in its absence... My shoulders always respond brilliantly to this and really need it right now.
That said, the therapist was working incredibly hard, it was all very relaxing and I slept brilliantly afterwards, but I personally need something that feels medically beneficial as opposed to holistically soothing.
