The place is funky on the inside and has a fun atmosphere. It seems clean and neat for the most part but unfortunately the actual haircut and blow dry I got were not up to standard for me. The cut was ok - I was just getting a bit of a trim but the layers needed work and the cut didn't really do anything to work with the layers I have. In what I felt was a shocking lack of hairdressing technique, the man that cut my hair cut everything straight across and gave me a really blunt look. Thankfully a month or two later this blunt look has grown out but I did wonder if this guy had ever had any training on hairdressing cutting techniques. Additionally, the blow dry I received gave me curls that were too tight and did not suit me at all.
If all you want is a very simple trim or just a wash and blow dry then I'd say this place is ok. Not great. But just ok. I think the staff need more training on cutting and blow dry techniques as the guy I had seemed very amateur. Maybe if you book and get someone else, not the guy, you'd be ok!
Also, small side note - I thought this place was quite hard to find if you've not been there before.
Plus notes: ambience is generally pretty nice.
Downsides: cutting and blow dry wasn't quite up to par with other hairdressers I've been to.
