Positives are the very very friendly atmosphere.
However, not sure if it was to speed things up, but when it came to sectioning the hair for the blow drying, instead of the hair being carefully separated and detangled, at one point I saw and heard my hair literally be ripped through. I looked up and got no reaction. Then the brushing was not done from root to tip to tease out knots, rather, from the middle down.
Looked at the brush and saw an alarming amount of hair, was told that the hair that came out is hair that needed to come out…
Maybe it was just a bad day…

My experience was good for the first time. I was welcomed when I came in and found a good spot to wait for my appointment.
Mackie reviewed what I wanted and informed me the style I chose has updated. She asked me about previous styles and told me which ones would work best.
She quickly prepped my braids and got into styling. I’m so happy and excited about the new soft loc style! Definitely coming back!

I took my 3 girls for hair treatments and cornrows and Mackie did a fantastic job ! She is always so welcoming and friendly and definitely has a special touch with kids. My girls felt so comfortable throughout. Mackie gave lots of good advice on how to look after the girls different hair textures. Overall I have a really great experience every time with dhairdoctor :-) Thank you Mackie !

Mackie was really kind and inviting. I felt at ease straight away. Mackie also gave me great advice on how to take care of my hair and was really knowledgeable which I found doesn't happen often in black hair salons (from my experience). My hair looked amazing,and best of all DID NOT HURT AT ALL. I literally have a top bun in the next morning and had a peaceful night sleep no pain.It also only took 4-5hrs to do, as I had slightly smaller braids which again is pretty quick.

Mackie was amazing! I normally find a trip to the hairdressers a stressful situation due to my anxiety but felt comfortable immediately. Mackie talked me through the process throughout the appointment which helped ease any concerns. She was also kind enough to give me helpful tips on how to look after my hair.
