The experience started on a good note with a friendly reception and staff members but ended very badly. I came for highlights and blow dry which was on promotion. On arrival I asked for honey or chocolate colour highlights, I even chose a tone from a selection of colours after I explained I wanted a natural finish and minimal bleaching on my hair hence me choosing warm tones. However, I ended up with super blonde bleached highlights and I was made to pay an extra £10 for a toner in order to make the highlights slightly darker. I am now with half bleached hair with orange looking strands...
From what I experienced, the hair expert is quite capable and skilled but due to her poor English and having instructions interpreted to her from the receptionist, my hair got lost in translation... I guess she was not entirely to blame!
The shop owner arrived later on, she wasn't too pleasant at first and I had to fight my corner to make my point across but still nothing was proposed to solve the issue. She slowly became more friendly and ensured me that my highlights will look better in time and that I will like the effect once the toner wears off. I am going to wait and see but am not too hopeful...
I believe that when a customer pays for a service, the later should be delivered to the letter especially in the beauty business where errors can have long term negative effect....
I was very happy with my gel manicure as I booked very last minute and they were able to fit me in. There is a wide range of colours to choose from. The lady doing them didn't speak to me very much but she did a good job of the actual manicure and it was very good value for money.
My hair colour was lovely when the treatment was all finished. Unfortunately, I think they were a little over-run with not enough staff, so the whole process took a very long time, much longer than it should have done.
