TJ was born in the Netherlands and moved to London at the age of three, where he has lived ever since. He graduated from internationally renowned AECC University College after completing four years of study, including a 12-month internship. TJ treats patients of all ages, empowering them to take an active role in their health. He believes in a movement-focused approach and works collaboratively with patients to create tailored management plans based on their goals, particularly encouraging active patient involvement through rehabilitation exercises to compliment and enhance manual therapy treatment. With a special interest in sports injuries, he enjoys trying new sports to better understand their demands and injury risks. His current interests include tennis, cricket, and volleyball. Alongside clinic work, TJ is the consulting chiropractor for a professional volleyball team and is furthering his expertise by pursuing an international diploma in sports chiropractic.
Chiropractic is a regulated primary healthcare profession. At East Dulwich Chiropractic & Physiotherapy their main focus is being evidence based and patient centred meaning they will always treat your individual goals, needs and circumstances as the highest priority in recommending treatment methods and plans to suit you. They believe this should always be a shared decision-making process at all times.
Chiropractic treatment mainly involves safe, often gentle, specific spinal manipulation called adjustments to free joints in the spine or other areas of the body that are not moving properly and have become sensitised or inflamed due to loading or injury.

The team
Chiropractors are trained to diagnose, treat, manage and prevent disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system (nerves, bones, joints, and muscles). They have a specialist interest in neck and back pain, but when they assess patients, they take their entire physical, emotional and social wellbeing into account.
The chiropractors use a range of techniques to reduce pain, improve function and increase mobility, including hands-on manipulation of the spine. As well as manual therapy, chiropractors are able to offer a package of care which includes advice on self-help, therapeutic exercises and lifestyle changes.
