I wasn't sure the pregnancy massage would be for me as I was literally walking on crutches suffering from pelvic pain as well as having bad back pain and being generally uncomfortable but it was amazing. The lady that did the massage was friendly and welcoming and put me totally at ease. She made every effort to make sure that I was comfortable and had lots of different pillows to support my back and bump. You got to choose your favourite aromatherapy smell and she was really clued up on which oils were suitable for pregnancy. She applied the perfect amount of pressure and I felt totally relaxed throughout. I would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a bit of a treat.
The spa was very quiet, which was perfect for me and smelt lovely. After I had my massage and pedicure I had a lovely shower there and used the towels, shampoo etc provided which smelt lovely. Apparently if you have a treatment you can also use the facilities for a couple of hours. At first I was disappointed as I hadn't bought anything to wear but I did dip my toe in and thought that it would have been too hot for someone who was pregnant anyway so I didn't miss out!
I left feeling really blissed out and will definitely visit again.
The only thing that could have been better was the quality of the food that the spa was linked to. The lady who had done my treatments was kind enough to order and then fetch a toasted sandwich for me but it was very average and I was a little surprised considering the quality of the spa and treatments that I had had.
