The lady who was doing my nails didn't seem to know about my booking or whether I had paid in the app. I told her repeatedly it was gel extensions. Then I questioned why she wasn't using forms as stated on the app - no response and I had asked twice. I already had tips glued on so there was no point in arguing. I commented that I hadn't expected the gel to be so thick - the other reason I decided to pay more for gel - and she just kept layering it on. She kept making mistakes and having to wipe polish/gel off my fingers, I had to point out some of the time. Some of the gel is uneven. I have showed 2 friends who have this done regularly who don't think this was worth the money, one thought I had gone ahead and done it myself. I wish I had. The salon was pretty busy and the other nail tech was running about the place as she'd left another customer wait, so I didn't bother causing more hassle for other customers by complaining. I won't be going back here and will make sure in future the nail tech knows what she is doing. In fact I should have seen warning signs when the nail techs boss looked surprised when she confirmed she knew how to do gel nails. Maybe she knows how to brush the gel on, but not how to do a good job.
