Friendly staff and an overall good experience. Gelish nails still going strong after 5 days so good value for money.
The salon was easily located on Wandsworth road and had a pleasant open plan entrance which was a hair salon. I came 10 minutes early to my appointment however the staff were willing to see me earlier. I was led downstairs to the basement where the treatment was to take place and was a bit taken aback to realise that the downstairs area is completely open from the stairs and the massage table was in a little alcove to the left. The therapist asked me to strip down to my underwear and left me at that point, however she didn't offer me a robe or towel. The therapist came down again whilst I was standing in my underwear and asked me to lie on the table, which was warmed and actually rather nice. The therapist asked if I had had a massage before and I explained that I had had a swedish massage before, and with that we started the treatment. Although the massage was very good - at no point was I asked which treatment I preferred (Swedish or Hot Stone massage) or what pressure I wanted or any particular problem areas. She did my legs and back and then had me turn over and do the front of my legs and arms. The location of the treatment bed in the open basement is also not ideal for relaxation as although the therapist played music you could clearly hear all conversations happening upstairs in the salon as well as the hairdryers and people walking up and down the wooden floors above you. Overall it was a great massage but I would not recommend this venue for anyone who is particularly modest or shy with their bodies as the therapists do not seem to take this into account and the treatment bed has no privacy whatsoever. You are expected to strip down and are not offered any coverings, and due to the location of the massage bed in the basement anyone could walk in at any time. Shame really as I would not be going back here for a massage as it is decidedly non-relaxing.
Shellac Manicure are definitely the way forward and now definitely part of my beauty routine, makes such a difference having nails that look great for 2 weeks without chipping or smudging like a normal one. This salon has a wonderful range of colours, I normally go for a soft grey or a dark red which is fantastic for late Autumn and very fashionable too. A great little salon.
A very reasonably priced eyebrow wax (£7) expertly administered and I was v pleased with results. At this price can be done every 2 weeks and your eyebrows really do make a difference to how you look. Treat yourself!
I was pleased with my pedicure at this salon. You get to sit in a massage chair and get a cup of tea (the little things make a difference!) and they had a good selection of colours. The varnish could have been slightly neater but overall was very satisfied and would go back.
