Wonderful, just what we needed. We have visited before and I am sure we will again as it was as good as the first time. Our only slight criticism would be that the steam room wasn't as steamy as other steam rooms we have been to.
Once again the Esprit Spa & Wellness at holiday Inn Reading did not disappoint. The rooms are fantastically comfortable and tastefully decorated.
The 3 course dinner was absolutely amazing as was the gorgeous breakfast.
Enjoyed the Spa facilities and a stress busting back massage.
We enjoyed our trip to the Holiday Inn Spa, overall the package deal we got was great value and the Hotel and Facilities were a solid 4/5.
Main gripe we had was a lack of seats around the pool compared to the number of people, basically we couldn't sit down and relax apart from in the steam/sauna rooms - people left their towels on seats to 'book' them whilst going for their treatments or in the pool - Holiday Inn need to either provide more seats or police the ones that are there better (no booking).
On the positive side - room was ace, food was ace (dinner & breakie), treatment was ace.
Would strongly recommend a trip to the showcase cinema if your on an overnight trip like us - 5 min walk from the hotel and top class cinema.
I would go back to this hotel/spa.
Was brilliant. From being greeted by staff of the Gym/spa to the reception guys on the main desk of the hotel. Couldn’t have done more to make the spa enjoyable. Although I did get a phone call a few days before as a staff member had called in sick. One of the theapist rang to inform me that treatments would have to be staggered she couldn’t have been more apologetic and was very nice of them to ring to inform about the change of treatment times. These things cannot be helped. As I didn’t even know the place exsisted. It was so relaxing it was very quiet and can imagine when it’s busy it’s not so relaxing, treatment was spot on. And my mum also had a brilliant time and loved it. It was a surprise birthday present for her. Thanks to all the guys at the Esprit spa and wellbeing!
