We had a lovely overnight stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, the food was very nice, the room was very spacious and comfortable and the spa area was great. I had a mini back, neck and shoulder massage which was great and my friend had the facial which was also great.
My only slight criticisms would be that the bar closed at 11pm on a Saturday which we thought was a little early, also they did not have any cider on tap.
Also it would have been nice to have a Jacuzzi in the swimming pool area.
However having said all of that I would definitely go back. In fact, my friend is looking at going back with her husband! Would definitely recommend to others too.
The spa experience was really lovely. The staff were incredible and treatments amazing. Everyone was really accommodating. We had dinner in the hotel bar, which was equally as lovely. Staff were great and really helpful. There was a gentleman playing the piano which was lovely. On criticism was on check out, the receptionist tried to charge us for something that was already paid for and was quite determined that we were maybe not telling the truth. Eventually , once a manager called and the bill was indeed proved to be paid . Otherwise the stay was very pleasant.
Lovely spa facilities, massage was excellent, afternoon tea was delicious. Initially had trouble because the spa had no recollection of my booking but they worked hard to accommodate us.
We have been before so knew what to expect. I didn't think it was as good as before as there were no robes or slippers-we had these last time and they said it was the type of room we had but it was the same type as last time. So not sure what that's all about!
Prosecco and strawberries in room same as before-a nice touch! Spa clean and all functioning. Did find there were children there playing with balls in the pool which didn't aid to the relaxing feel you want at a spa-something to look into?? Water available but did run out so bit more attention needed. Plenty of towels available and we did have the gym to ourself. We didn't have an treatments on this occasion.
Dinner was lovely and very attentive staff.
I always look forward to breakfast and was really disappointed as sausages were awful and undercooked. Hash browns were soggy. No fried eggs and bacon again rather undercooked and fatty looking.
