I accidently ordered the wrong thing. I wanted a haircut but booked an updo. They were completely understanding and I had another lovely haircut. I would recommend Evoke to everyone.
On arrival I was told to sit and wait with no clear indication of how long (the hairdresser was with another client which was unclear). The reception person was on his computer for 15 mins and then asked me to come down to have my hair washed - I was confused and asked why as the stylist had not given me a consult on my hair (I've not been before!) he said it was how they did it there!!
On washing my hair it was only washed once and not conditioned. Again I asked why, the receptionist said they washed it again and conditioned it post cut...?!
The stylist looked at my hair and didn't really consult I was very nervous and she said I know Asian hair and went about cutting it I had said I wanted to keep as much length as possible. But more than I She asked how I wanted it drying but didn't re-wash or condition my hair. When I explained she said oh the receptionist is confused we only do that with men's hair... but then did just condition my hair. She dried it looking crazy and unneeded her to do it again as I was going back to work, but think it was lack of her understanding as she hadn't seen my hair dry before the wash/cut! I'm not happy with it and probably won't go back as there is just a lack of coherence and confusion!
I have found my new favorite salon. The service was fabulous and my stylist took extra time to show me various ways I could style the new cut. I've gotten so many compliments on this haircut I'll definitely be back.
Great atmosphere and the staff were great. The stylist i had really helped, understoon what i wanted and also had some neat recommendations that i took.
