This was a small, friendly salon with very nice staff. The technician was late (although through no fault of her own) but they offered me a cup of tea and chatted away whilst I was waiting. The waxing itself was effective, although I found it was more rushed than I have previously experienced and as a result, slightly rough, but they used plenty of lotions afterward to sooth the skin and discomfort was gone quite quickly. I have already booked a follow up appointment.
Lovely boutique salon just minutes away from the eateries along Northcote Road. Small and clean facility with only 1 staff on the Saturday that I visited. Love the ceiling windows right above the treatment bed; though the room was full with various equipment and product, it was quite well organized so it feels ok and bright.
I booked for an eye treatment but the therapist give me a face scrub and head massage as well which was nice, though I would have appreciated proper moisturiser and SPF after the treatment. For the £30 price, the eye treatment itself was too simple and brief; I didn't feel any different after the treatment.
The biggest put off for me is that she reused/ double dipped the waxing stick.
Secondly, she would have multiple 'pulls' on the wax rather than pulling it all off in one go. I have never had such a painful wax in my life. She was absolutely lovely, but it was so painful I just could not go back. I also found the day after I was still very red and so sensitive I couldn't have my 'bits' directly under the shower (again, something I have never experienced before) I even checked to see if I had been burned. I was referred by friends who go here regularly, so maybe I just had a bad experience as they have generally been very happy with their waxing.
