As the salon was quite, I got seen to immediately. The lady doing my brows was nice and talkative, however the threading process really hurt - I have gotten my brows threaded for years and never experienced so much pain. When I said this, she told me it’s because my skin is sensitive. This is true, but that means she should’ve taken extra care and not been so rough and heavy handed. When it came to trimming my brows, she could not find the brow scissors and so ended up using other scissors from out in reception without so much as an antiseptic wipe down. She did let me know she had scratched me once and it was bleeding slightly, however once I left the salon and looked in the mirror of anther store I realized both my brows were bleeding and I had several scratches above each brow on both sides. And my brows/surrounding skin was stinging for a good few hours! It was New Year’s Eve too and so doing my makeup that night was an absolute pain as I couldn’t really put any product on my brows or surrounding areas. I was really happy with the shape but shouldn’t have had to go through such pain to get them. Such a shame as I think the salon has a lot of potential but I will definitely not be going back.
I want to caveat that it was Christmas time and the salon had booked me in last minute, however my shellac polish felt rushed. The result was a little bit off, however, for the most part, I was satisfied with my treatment and I have been to the salon before so I know the quality of the treatment is usually quite good. I will go back again - just hoping for a less busy time!
