I really hate to leave a review and to be honest it's my first time leaving one online but it can be a bit uncomfortable to comment then and there so I would like to leave some feedback.
I booked in for a dermalogica medibac facial recently. I have had quite a few at another venue in the city but decided to try Frost as the price was very reasonable, I have always found Dermalogica facials to be excellent.
I had asked specifically at the time of booking if extraction work could be included as part of the facial and the staff member said that they do not carry them out routinely however if the customer requires it they would be able to accommodate as the skin therapist is very experienced. I decided to book in using the app. Unfortunately on the morning of the appointment the salon contacted me to say that there was a mix up with the online booking so I could resheduele if I wished which was fine so I re-booked for later in the week.
The facial itself was relaxing and focused mainly on massage rather than in depth work which I had expected. My skin therapist was aware that I required extraction work and I had drawn attention to blackheads and milia on my skin. The therapist removed a very small amount of extraction work on me which I was very disappointed with. I am aware that extraction work is one of the core elements of a Dermalogica facial and feel that it wasn't taken into consideration as I had hoped. I had expected a far more in depth skin analysis however I need to bear in mind that the price was far cheaper than it's competitors. Overall I felt as though I paid £40 for the skin therapist to use the same products that I have at home on my skin.
When it came time for me to pay the balance came to £40. I had expected to pay the same amount that had been indicated on Treadwell when I had originally booked (£32). I paid the full balance and left, as I mentioned before it can be difficult to complain at the time and I am aware that staff are not mind-readers however I feel as though staff could pay a little more attention to detail.
It may be that the salon have just introduced the Dermalogica range and are hoping to attract new customers and if they are then I feel as though they should investigate the standards of other local Dermalogica facial providers and perhaps learn from them.
If you are looking for a nice face massage with some nice products then this place would be suitable for you, if you are looking for something specialist and in -depth then I would not recommend unfortunately.
On a positive note the salon is very clean and the staff seem very polite.
