I was hoping the recent reviews weren’t right but they were. I didn’t have a delay to be seen, but there was hair over the floor and counter top from the previous day. Not the most Covid safe. Not a great blow dry, just hair dryer waved around my head, no heat protector or serum used before a straightener was used. Really lacking that salon experience, I felt for the money I paid compared to the quality of the experience it wasn’t worth it at all
I booked in for a blow wave for a pick-me-up after lockdown and I was disappointed. I should have read the other reviews...Place was messy from the day before - hair hadn’t even been swept up. And Covid rules are not adhered to - owner not wearing her mask correctly, no social distancing, no temperature checks or hand sanitising; it’s as though Covid never happened. My stylist was lovely but her hairdryer was broken so what should have been quick bouncy curls wasn’t at all. Very disappointed
I had my first appointment at Gemini on Saturday. I was fully anticipating teething problems after such an extended furlough. However I was disappointed to wait an hour for a prebooked appointment to not be offered even a glass of water. There was not much in the way of an apology. I spoke to speak to several different people about what I wanted from my appointment. I requested a treatment -this was not applied but then I was charged extra for toner at the end? I would not rush to return sadly.
I'm very happy with my haircut - I had to wait for over thirty minutes once I arrived. Probably due to business of it being the first weekend since shops opened. Jeannette was very friendly and helpful! Overall, great experience.
They ran late, then there was no hot water. So the ends of my daughter’s hair were washed, which made it v difficult to comb through.
No apology or explanation made about the water, I only knew because I spoke to the poor stylist (who said she had only started two days before) dealing with the lady in front of us.
Front desk big bunch of dead flowers and full of used bottles of water.
Not going back. Don’t recommend which is a shame as much prefer to spend money in local businesses.
