The massage itself was great, could have been deeper pressure, and I did ask for this a couple of times, but otherwise, good and very relaxing. Worked out some difficult knots!
There was a bit of chaos around the booking though, which interfered with the relaxation aspect of a massage! I was called about 40 minutes before my treatment time, to say they had double booked and could I come later. This was a voicemail as I was working that morning, so by the time I received the message, the massage was in 30 minutes and I was on my way. I tried to call back and the line was engaged for 10 minutes. Eventually I got through and the lady was very apologetic but asked me to come an hour later. So I killed time for an hour, as I was already close to the venue. Then when I arrived, they were surprised I was pregnant, despite my having booked a pregnancy massage. Cue much shuffling around. The result was I ended up with a shorter massage as they hadn’t prepared for a pregnancy massage.
It was expensive- my local Thai massage place is around 30% cheaper but I decided to book this one as they advertised as supplying a pregnancy specific massage.
All in all; good massage, shame about the administration. I think this is partly down to Treatwell but the salon also bears some responsibility as the person who is notified by email of TW bookings was not available or checking the notifications.
One of the best deep tissue massages I have had so far. I felt so much better afterwards. Loved that the masseuse went also right under my shoulder blades. They also offer tea and water afterwards which is nice. Staff is very friendly.
