I booked a 1hr deep tissue massage because of extensive pain in my neck and back recently as well as a tightening of my hips and hip flexor from exercise. Although I was a little unsure of booking here the reviews were good and it's close to home so I decided to give it a go. It was not a great experience, it didn't relieve my pain, I wouldn't go back and I certainly wouldn't recommend. Spend a little bit more and go to a professional masseuse.
When I arrived the man who does the massage was running late so my massage started about 15-20 minutes later. He took me to the room, asked me what I wanted and then told me to get ready while he finished with the other customer.
When he came back he asked if I would like acupuncture and massage and recommended it would be beneficial, I said I hadn't had acupuncture before and was a little nervous, he said it would be fine and much better to combine with the massage so I agreed. There was no explanation of how the acupuncture would work and, once he'd inserted the needles into my body he then left the room with no indication of when he would return. He was gone for 30 minutes, but I couldn't relax as I wasn't sure what was happening or when he would come back and I could hear him outside making phone calls and dealing with customers, it felt like he'd just suggested acupuncture to have a break and get some other jobs done.
When he came back he took the needles out and proceeded to do a massage on my back which was invigorating, but certainly not deep tissue and with almost no pressure into the deeper muscles which is where I really needed it and why I'd chosen a 'deep tissue' massage. In the second half an hour he also left the room twice to handle other customers.
He only worked on my back and neck, without moving around the massage table (which was against the wall) so the massage was quite uneven and didn't seem to be getting into the problem areas. For the last 5 minutes proceeded to rub my hips a little, which obviously didn't do anything to relieve the tightness of muscles in my hips or hip flexor.
I'm sure you would experience excellent traditional Chinese massage or acupuncture here if that's what you're looking for and the prices for those services are reasonable. But if you're looking for a deep tissue massage, sports massage, a relaxing or professional experience go somewhere else. In my experience this place doesn't offers the expertise in those areas to be advertising those services.

Booked in for a reflexology session at over 40 weeks pregnant. Practitioner was knowledgeable and session was very relaxing, good pressure on my feet. I lay on my side as that was more comfortable. Measure of a good session is not wanting it to end so I have awarded 5 stars.
