The worst experience ever!!! I arrived on time, but was kept waiting as the staff seemed to be more interested in chatting and doing their hair than dealing with tcustomers. I found the hairdressers extremely unprofessional and rude. My hair was done by 3 different hairdresser- 1 washed my hair, another one cut it and the third one dried it. It was obvious to me that they were overbooked. In addition, the woman who cut my hair complained that it wasn’t cute properly previously. To make it worse, I discovered that she wasn’t the one who did my haircut last time. It is definitely not the service you expect for the money you pay, I will never return!
Loved the blow dry I got here, it lasted for ages which doesn't always happen when I get my hair done! The salon seemed to be going under construction so hopefully when that is finished it will look/feel like a normal salon. Will be going again regardless :)
My visit to pampering palace was a waste of time and money and chemicals were put on my eyelashes unnecessarily without any visable result, the lady who did my lash lift was very nice and it's nothing personal but I wasn't happy with the results, I did inform the manager and her attitude at first came across as if she wanted to make things right for me despite not once apologising that I had chemicals put on my lashes unnecessarily, over the phone she told me she personally would do my lash lift again, i told her I would get back to her with a date which would be convenient for both of us and she agreed.. however when I finally did call her the following week her attitude had totally changed and she was extremely rude and unprofessional and even made accusations of me booking a second appointment the previous time we spoke and not turning up which is absolute lies, I was very shocked and diguisted to have been spoken to like that by a so called manager.. upon reflection having looked at other peoples reviews of this place I really wish I had done my research first, I would definitely not recommend pampering palace and to me it's quite clear the staff need more training in the services offered and the manager needs to really work on her people skills and undergo a customer service course, I forgot to mention she abruptly hung up the phone on me when she couldn't be bothered to explain why she wasn't prepared to rebook me.. absolutely horrendous service do not waste your time or money
I had a lash lift last year at another place and really liked how turned out so I wanted to do it again. Since I couldn’t go to the other place (because it’s in another country) I chose this one. My eyelashes are generally pretty long (with mascara they touch my eyebrows) but since they are not very dark and naturally don’t have a lift to them I wanted to do a lash lift and tinting (I’m happy with the tint though). The staff were very nice but my lash lift didn’t turn out great, they are way too curly, so much that they curl back into my eyelid. They appear much shorter because of that (half the size they usually do with mascara) and I can’t wear mascara since it just stains right below my eyebrows every time I try. I’m more sad than angry since there’s nothing I can do about it now. They look fine without mascara but I miss how long they looked before with. As I said before, the staff were lovely but I wouldn’t get a lash lift at this place again
This was my second trip to the pampering palace, knowing of the extent of the refurbishment works but not being put off due to the lovely massage i received the first time around- which I was extremely happy with. This time around, i booked for 15:30 and received a call asking me to come later- which was totally fine as i was in no rush. I got there and was taken into the treatment room at 15:50- it was obviously a very busy afternoon and all hands were on deck! On being taken into the treatment room, i noticed that the towel was dirty and there was waxing stuff out from the last appointment- i didn't raise this at the time as i am quite laid back and really liked the masseuse! I was prepared to overlook it. After getting changed i guess the massage started at 15:55. It was a lovely massage but the door was opened and room accessed by other staff at least twice which was a little off-putting. The massage finished and i thought at the time 'gosh that went quickly' but put it down to enjoying the massage! I then spent time getting changed, went to pay and left. It wasn't until i looked at the receipt that i realised i'd paid at 16:29. That means i think i probably received 30 mins of massage when i paid for an hour. I sent an email about this to pampering palace on Tuesday evening, just saying that perhaps they could give me a bit of free time next time i visit and i had no response. I then chased up on Thursday evening and again, no response. I hate to leave a bad review as the masseuse is great but i just feel a bit disappointed. I thought i had found somewhere i could go for a massage throughout my pregnancy and i now feel thoroughly deflated.
