My massage was great, incredibly relaxing and the perfect amount of pressure unlike some I've had in the past. The lady was nice and created a peaceful ambiance for me which I really appreciated. The salon itself was clean with nice decor, good location with free parking right outside which was convenient. An all round great experience so I'll definitely be going back.
Lovely lady who made me feel very relaxed and carried out my treatment well. I will be returning to get eyelash extensions soon.
The staff member was very nice, she was very chatty and had a lovely chat. The facial was okay, the room was pleasant and comfortable. She spent a lot of time discussing the products and my skin.
The place was a bit messy but it seemed basically clean and the price was low so I wast going to judge on that. The masseuse was a perfectly pleasant lady but unfortunately I don't think she has had any massage training. I've had quite a few massages at a variety of spas etc in three countries and this was NOT a massage. The first half was just briskly and roughly rubbing LOTS of oil all over my back - no damage done but didn't feel professional and went on for far too long. Then when the actual pressure started it was really like no massage I have ever had - I did give her feedback throughout and ask her to lighten up at points. It's very hard to describe, there was a lot of elbows and a lot of slapping and not a lot of normal massage. Anyway I've been left in pretty severe pain the next day so am going to have to look up the regulatory system for massage therapy and see about making a report. In future, I'll be sure to ask about the training and qualifications of the staff before trying new salons in the future and would suggest others consider doing the same. It's a shame as I've never had a bad massage experience before and I probably won't bother to try new places as frequently as a result of the extra admin, but it seems that's what you have to do in order to prevent being left with a fist-sized black bruise at the base of my spine, which is what happened after this treatment.
I really enjoyed my massage - the techniques were great, very relaxing, and the therapist was friendly and welcoming. My criticism would be that I had to wait for over half an hour after my appointment time (which is long considering my treatment was only half an hour itself) - the therapist explained that the person before me was late and that is why they had over run but I would rather have been seen on time.
