Glow had great reviews on Treatwell and I needed a quick appointment for gel nails so decided to try. As soon as I walked in I felt I was not welcomed. I wasn’t introduced to anyone and was told to sit down. A woman started ripping pieces of foil to take off the previous gel I had on. She then held her hands out to me as if to ask me to give my hands to her but she didn’t speak to me. She then put the acetone on to remove the gel and wrapped the foil around. Then I was left to sit there for around half an hour max, without anyone to talk to or anything to do. No one offered me to look through the colour options. I felt the staff were rude; they didn’t even offer me a drink which I think is basic politeness. I didn’t know when the woman was coming back or anything, she was wondering around and then went to do another girls nails. I wasn’t told who was actually doing my nails and just thought I would be waiting there forever lol. I was so close to just walking out honestly. I thought it was rude as the girls were talking to other customers and not me. I don’t know why. Anyway another girl came and did my nails who again didn’t really try to make conversation with me. She did my nails lovely which I appreciated I just felt the customer service was very poor - I work in retail so know how important it is to be polite and friendly to all customers, especially when they’re paying for a personal service like this. I won’t be going back to Glow as I felt the service was very rude and unprofessional. After speaking to my sister and my friend who had also visited Glow, she said the exact same as me! Not a good first impression.
