Just had an amazing haircut and half head highlights with Helena! Was a bit anxious before I went (because of the name of the salon!) but all the previous positive reviews made me go ahead and book it and it was definitely worth it - one of the best jobs I have had done on my hair. The salon is really small but the staff are really nice. I love supporting small independent businesses and will definitely be returning here...and getting my friends and family to come here!
While the Groovy Hair Salon might not be somewhere you would necessarily be inspired to visit if you walked past, I would encourage you to give the place a try! At first glance, the salon is very small (only 3 seats) and looks like a male-only barbers! However, the staff are lovely, my haircut was as good, if not better, than anywhere I've been in the past and the streets of Soho keep you entertained more than any trashy magazine would. If it's value for money you're after, this place is the perfect choice.

Good things come in small packages! Groovy salon is a little shop, but preforming like the big time players. By far the best cut & colour I've had in a long time!
I am always so nervous about trying out a new salon - I have been using the same chap for years..... but new to London (and broke) meant I took up an offer with The Groovy Hair Salon.
I really enjoyed my experience with them, my hair was in a REAL state; different colours - thanks to a friends over-zealous experimenting. The chap listening really attentively, advised me really well and produced a result that I am over the moon with. He listened to exactly what I wanted with the cut and then again with the blow dry.
Whilst you might be mistaken for thinking that the salon is male-oriented; the fact that there are only three chairs, means the experience is personal and intimate; and every member of staff went out of their way to be fantastic. I can't recommend them highly enough and I will definitely be using them again.

Small shop, but all you need is there: two attentive staff members, coffee, tea, and above all: an amazing half head of highlights and a good cut. I wasn't really asked beforehand how I usually have my hair, but thankfully this was done before the scissors came out, and the result is good.
