I explained that I didn't want much hair coming off and just wanted the sides tapered a little and a few of the ends coming off. Instead, he did a very basic "pull hair, straight line cut", taking off far more than I wanted and not doing the one thing I asked. I had to eventually stop him and, after a few uncomfortable exchanges, he said that, next time, I should book a hairdresser, not him?! He was a nice guy but, if he wasn't able to do what I asked, he should have said that at the start.
