There were 60 steps to go up and down to access our room, and carry our luggage. Luckily we didn't have mobility problems but I don't remember seeing any indication of this when we booked. The food was good but the menu was the same at each meal. The afternoon rea was good.
I had booked a spa day with afternoon tea for my mum & me. When we arrived there was no one on reception. So we carried on to the spa area where are here was a gentleman who gave us our towels / robes & a bottle of water. He gave us instructions on what was where & then I did not see him until about 3 hours later. The therapist was pleasant & the massage was relaxing. Afternoon tea was superb 👌😋. The hotel is situated in a beautiful location. It needs a boost of welcoming vibes & energy.
Absolutely average and horrific value. Was like fawlty towers in there. Spa room was absolutely freezing, music from youtube on a mobile phone far too loud and the massage was like a beginner. My partner could have done a better job. Awful. Sorry to say this as I am. It a moaner.
Despite the issues re. Change of treatment times last minute and inflexibility to accommodate or provide any solutions, with one member of staff being rude (and not offering any form of goodwill ie credit behind the bar - nothing), we still arrived with a positive spirit to enjoy the day. Upon arrival there was no one at reception, had to ask for the table outside to be cleaned, no flip flops provided, treatment poor (she pulled black head out with her nails), mixed changing rooms dirty!
Great treatment but wish I could say the same for the venue!
