Can’t fault Clio she was amazing and my facial and massage were both very good .
The afternoon tea I would criticise, no actual cream which was a shock some lemon stuff and only 1 small pot of jam between me and my husband. I would definitely say if they used actual clotted cream I would have not said anything but the lemon stuff is disappointing. Another couple there at the same time complained and left.
Booked a massage before we stayed at the hotel for 16.30.. on the morning we were leaving I got a call to say could Andrew come on Monday at 13.30 this I agreed. On Monday Andrew came to the spa at 13.20 were he was told he should have been there at 12 noon.. I was certainly not happy as my email stated 13.30 of which I showed the reception at the hotel.
I book these couple of days away as we both lost our parents last week and wanted time to unwind and relax which never happened .
I wrote an email to the manager of guildford Manor after my visit but have not yet received a reply. I detailed a number of points which definitely needed inprovement. I tried to cut and paste my email to this box but it isn't big enough.
Basically, I was disappointed. Key points:
- cold, wet towels on massage bed
- children in spa area when they shouldn't be
- poor dessert at lunch
- poor attention to detail - empty tissue and hand towel dispensers
