Severe lack of seating options in the spa, outdoor pool out of order and no robes in room. My husband and I booked to have a relaxing weekend before our baby comes (37 weeks pregnant!) and couldn’t sit by the pool as all seats were taken. There’s only about 8 loungers in total, so had to go back to our room to lie down inbetween swimming and our treatments which was incredibly disappointing. Facilities are very basic. The treatments themselves were lovely but poorly organised and late starting.
We had a lovely time at the hotel. The food was excellent. Afternoon tea is definitely worth getting. Nice range of sandwiches and cakes. The spa facilities were nice, though they could have done with some variety as there were only two saunas, a pool and an indoor jacuzzi. There was an outdoor jacuzzi but it wasn't operational. Overall though, it was an excellent place with friendly staff who were always happy to help us with any requests.
The massage was amazing, I would go back just for that. The spa.... It was meh, nothing more than that really.
The Spa facilities were excellent. The Hotel felt tired and needed some major repairs. The Staff were lovely, but we felt they were overworked and under pressure. With two functions going on at the same time, there was no where to sit or get a drink. Staff did assist with this and get us a coffee. A small coffee/tea machine in the Spa area would help with this situation. We had been advised to come before our rooms were ready and use the Spa.
Great therapist, wish she knew about pressure points.
