This was a good hotel and value for money, however we felt the place lacked attention to detail. Possible lack of staff but no excuse. Woke up and came down for a drink in the morning and still left out on the patio area was all last nights drinks and bottles, that should be clear the night before. Dinner I choose the steak and had to ask for a steak knife. We were in room 8 and was surprised by the lack of privacy in the bathroom with no blind or curtains on window, frosted glass but even so
I have never had a facial before but my first time in Guildford Manor Hotel and Spa was with charging and she was so gentle and friendly I'm very considerate to my skin. The location, atmosphere, service including everybody that was there were exceptional. My partner Rishi and I go there every 6 months the part of our relax and I'll reset button so we wouldn't have it any other way
A mixed review!
Driving into the hotel, the grounds were beautiful and there was plenty of free parking, a good start!
When we walked into the hotel itself, whilst not that aesthetically pleasing to look at on the outside I thought the inside was classy with a touch of grandeur and very clean.
We had paid for the twilight package, arrived early and were seated straight away in the restaurant, where we had a lovely cup of coffee. The cakes/sandwiches were delicious.

We had such a brilliant and relaxing time at this venue. The staff were very accommodating and managed to rearrange our appointments despite some staff sickness. The outdoor pool is especially lovely, we could have stayed there all day. The afternoon tea was perfect - everything was delicious and not too much food so you felt like you could try everything without wasting lots or feeling too full. Even the china was beautiful!
