The treatment and afternoon tea were amazing. The changing rooms smelt and were mixed male and female. There wasn’t enough loungers so we had to stand and chat when we were meant to be on a relaxing spa afternoon, and the steam room was broken. Even though we provided two names both treatments were in one name, our main booking was under another name and then they didn’t have our booking at all for the afternoon tea.
The treatment was great, but the spa area was run down, steam room not working and a side of the pool coming away. Sun loungers filled up fast, jacuzzi was always over crowded. The hotel needs better management. I had booked prosecco for the room, it wasn't in the room. We had to request robes, they had run out of slippers. Service in the restaurant was questionable (a waiter dropped cutlery on me and didn't apologise). It has the potential to be a lovely hotel but staff need better training.
After rushing around to get the robes the masseuse was late by 10 minutes, no apology given and only provided a 40 minute massage not 50 minutes. During the massage the masseuse asked how much pressure to apply, soft, medium or hard. My wife said medium but after a few minutes realised that medium wasn’t hard enough so asked for the pressure to be increased to which the masseuse did for about 2 minutes then reverted back to medium pressure. My wife asked again later on to apply more pressure but
