The head, back & neck massage was lovely ... she listened to my request (no pain) and i found the experience really relaxing. Was a shame a robe was not offered as I found the towels provided very small so walking from the reception to the treatment room (upstairs) was a little uncomfortable.
This was the second time that I have been to do this experience. I would say that it wasn't as good as the first time unfortunately.
We weren't greeted with the same hospitality as before, and it was harder to get the staffs attention when needing something.
The treatment was cut a little shorter in time than it was meant to, but it was a pleasant experience.
I found the changing room messy with water all over the floor. Slip hazard. Towels were far too small. This was a communal changing room. My massage was excellent though floor in the room was messy and towels were of poor quality. Afternoon tea was again excellent.
I feel the hotel is letting themselves down, it did not feel as though we were being pampered.
The therapist Fiona was excellent,
The food in the restaurant was excellent
A spa day should be an opportunity to be pampered, this is not what happened.
They need to offer some extra touches perhaps a glass of fizz on arrival or juice, free tea/coffee, biscuits or pastries.
