Myself and my partner booked this getaway for our anniversary. The site itself is beautiful. The decorate throughout the hotel is stunning and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were really wonderful and friendly and the facilities are amazing especially the vitality pool.
The reception staff could be more forthcoming with information and smile. Felt like they were doing the job because they had too.
The front of the hotel was lovely, other parts of the hotel need a good dusting, cobwebs in the windows etc. Carpet in room 24 was very stained, also damp and peeling paint beside the bed.- we were moved when we asked.
The food was excellent.
And the massage staff were super, polite warm and professional, as was the massage
Not a great experience. Not enough lockers in the changing room. Only one member of staff on duty who remained at the front desk so took a while to rectify issues. Tiny changing room with only a few cubicles to change - all dirty. We were not made aware that it was a unisex changing room before booking. Food at the afternoon tea was good but the dining room was freezing cold. The masseuses were excellent!
We had a lovely weekend which benefitted nice weather.
The staff were friendly & helpful.
The accommodation was very nice.
All aspects of food from ‘One of the best breakfasts’ we’ve had.
Lovely afternoon tea, plus two great evening meals.
Thanks for a great weekend.
Sadly the ‘hot’ towels were cold for the facial- very disappointing as these are the best part of a facial for me!
Spa area was really dirty, months of grime on doors, flooded floor, mould in changing area- simple stuff which should be better.
Spa desk was unmanned so all customers were confused over who to ask for drinks/food/towels etc.
No one who worked there in hotel or spa smiled, no one seemed to want to be there- very odd atmosphere.
