Excellent Salon. A little hard to find as the door way is in an alleyway and the salon is upstairs. Otherwise it is a nice little place with really friendly staff. My feet felt lovely afterwards. Thanks very much!
I went to Guise and Dolls a couple of weeks ago with my best friend for a luxury manicure and pedicure. Patsy did both treatments and she and the other therapist were so welcoming and friendly - instantly made you feel really comfortable and there was no bitchiness from staff like I have sometimes experienced in other salons. For the mani-pedi you get a choice of probably a hundred OPI colours and I chose 'charged up cherry' with a glitter over the top - enjoyed the treatments lots and was very pleased with the results! Will definitely be going back soon!
I had a Brazilian at Guise and Dolls and was very impressed with it. It was one of the best waxes I've had and the therapist was clearly very practised and confident in extreme waxing. The venue wasn't the smartest or swankiest and is generally a little shabby (it's also difficult to find - down an alley), but the therapist is excellent and I highly recommend her waxing.
After reading some pretty good reviews, I was quite excited about going especially at the price! What a great price. It's just ashame that the customer services part didn't match up. In fairness, I arrived about 10 mins late as I lost my voucher, but did contact them to let them know I was coming. On arrival, I was left in reception for about 5 mins although there was no one else in and then taken thru for my pedicure. Another member of staff sat with us whilst I was having my pedicure and the 2 of them chatted between themselves for a good 15 mins (ignoring me) until one got up and left (the other whilst doing my feet, was answering the phone too) Aside, from that, the pedicure was good. When the other girl returned (obviously with lunch) they then continued to discuss over me how to cook their lunch and for how long! Ok, so I didn't pay a fortune for it but customer services is key and I felt that I didn't get it that day and was more. "get her in and out!" There were a couple of other issues that happened but ive made my point. A real shame as I may have gone back if they had just made more of an effort with me (the customer!!!!)
