I recommend Gusto hairdresser Covent Garden to anyone. I really enjoyed my time in there and also love my new hair. Maria cut my hair. She gave me very accurate consultation and did a very good job.
I arrived to a cool and sleek salon (last time it was brand new and not quite finished). There was only one female hairdresser who was in the middle of doing highlights and my hair cut, mask and blow dry appointment was due five minutes later with her. It was pretty clear that she wasn't going to be finished in five minutes. Instead of acknowledging this and explaining, I was offered a tea and left to sit and wait. I had been waiting for more than fifteen minutes when the girl on reception then came over and explained Orphelia was running late. It was then twenty five minutes before I was actually seen. Orphelia was very pleasant and friendly and apologised for keeping me waiting. We had what I felt was a good consultation and she was clear about what I wanted. I guess not. The haircut I have been left with is awful. Big chunky layers that sit on top of each other and don't blend in. I had explained that I have thick hair and usually the hairdresser would cut into it to take some of the weight out of it but she didn't do that. Ive been left with a shoulder length triangular shaped haircut that looks rather old fashioned. Some of the layers around the face aren't even the same length either side. Really unhappy and won't be going back. A shame as I had such a good experience the first time (with a different hairdresser who has since left).
