Wow, wow, and WOW!
I absolutely love massages, and they're often how I treat myself. Lately, I've been getting into hot stone massage, due to it's intensity of a treatment, in such a short time. The massage, itself, was just what I needed - a full body, 90 minute, hot stone treat, and the lovely masseuse (when I come back, I need to get her name!) took time on all parts of the body, but was paying attention to where I had tension. I tend to like REALLY deep tissue massages, but I was enjoying the light/medium pressure relaxing flow she had going on SO much that I decided to go for whatever was in store for me instead. I left feeling SO relaxed, revitalised, and with a sense of calm that has remained with me for days.
Only a few people were on that I met, but the woman doing hair was friendly, and my masseuse was kind, thoughtful, and patient, and even started my massage early, as I arrived a little early and she was ready!
As for the shop itself, it's such a sweet space just on Radford road. The salon is at the front (will be back to get m hair done in time me!), walking through what I can only describe as a secret escape OASIS (!!!) hidden in the back, up through to the massage rooms. I'm not sure if there are multiple, but the room I was in was cosy, warm, with a wonderful soft soundtrack playing, and a calming red theme (red, dimmed lights, red towels, etc.) accentuating it's relaxing properties.
As new to Nottingham, I was a little apprehensive to getting to a new neighbourhood, however, it was a few minutes on the tram to the Forest Rec. stop, and then a few minutes walk - VERY accessible from city centre!
I will CERTAINLY be returning for my future massages, and will look to try other treatments.
