Melissa knows her stuff and really wants to make your hair work for you - no one has ever talked about matching my skin tone before. She fills you with confidence and did a fabulous job - my hair looks great. Lovely salon, great environment and a really good experience. Highly recommended!
Melissa's salon is cool, in a nice setting with a good cafe serving food, a florists and a bike shop nearby. The cost was pretty high but I felt like it did end up being worth it for me. Melissa herself is great, clearly knows her trade really well and put me at my ease and inspired trust very quickly (important when you are putting your hair in her hands!) she asked what I wanted, gave me a few ideas and slight tweaks to my plan, and talked me through the whole process. One of the best hairdresser experiences I have had, I will be going back.

This place is amazing! Melissa really knows what she is doing. There's no way you'd leave the place not looking beautiful. And to all you blondes out there - this is the place to get a colour and highlights! I couldn't be happier with my perfect shade of blonde.
I had my hair cut at S&D this past weekend and really enjoyed the experience. The salon is a really groovy space, with a laid back feel, a cool and rugged industrial look, and lots of good music. Melissa was great from beginning to end, taking the time to explain why the cut I initially wanted was actually not the best for my hair type and face shape, and advising as to which cut would actually suit me best. I had never had this experience before, where the stylist actually knows the ins and outs of hair cutting/styling as a discipline/art/science and takes the time to explain it to you so you know your hair better too. Pretty cool stuff. Needless to say, my new hair style rocks! I'll definitely be back.
Melissa is a great stylist, during my consultation she really listened to what I wanted and addressed any concerns I had. The salon looks great and I really enjoyed the music. My hair looks beautiful and I will definitely be booking anther appointment.
