Ok so, I'm writing this rather reluctantly and just a little bit sad. I was on the verge of leaving the steamiest, angriest review in the history of reviews, but I won't. And this is why; I arrived at my haircut on time, ready and excited for a new style. I was approached by a polite, if not completely frazzled, hairdresser and asked if I could possibly come back in half an hour because of a double-booking problem. I had booked this with time to spare so I agreed and went to get a coffee before coming back... only to wait another hour before I was able to get my haircut! It was not till the moment when I stood up ready to stomp out grumbling about missing my appointment that I was taken to the chair. The gentleman sat me down to discuss what I wanted done, he was very polite and listened to what I actually wanted, we then went to wash my hair and got it cut (very nicely). My appointment had been for 12:00 and when I sat down to get my hair washed it was 13:20, I was done in about half an hour and by the time I was going to pay, the price asked was not the discounted one that was listed on treatwell but the full one; I did not dispute this because I was still in a hurry and there was enough commotion in the salon as it was. In my time there I saw a lady spend about an hour straightening a clients hair; the single colourist working on one person; one lady sitting for about an hour in a hair with her hair still wet; three other clients all walk in after me before I has even had my haircut. The only reason why I have not given much lower ratings is because of the clear distress of the employees at this mistake and their polite manner as well as the quality of my haircut -which I cannot fault (and I am EXTREMELY perfectionist about my hair but I am satisfied and have gotten many compliments). The owner needs to check her bookings online regularly to avoid this, or simply turn people away when she sees that they are unable cope, their time must be respected too.
