I have naturally wavy but frizzy hair so I booked a treatment described as "keratin curls", which I expected to be a keratin treatment but finished off with curling rather than straightening the hair, hoping that this would help to condition my hair and control the frizz. However, it turned out that this is actually just a standard hair-damaging perm (but more expensive), followed off by a keratin conditioner. I decided to have it done anyway, having already paid, but it just seemed to dry my hair out while not really adding anything to my existing waves. In addition, the stylist told me he would need to trim the ends which were damaged by the treatment, so I let him, and then at the end he charged me an extra £35 for having a "haircut" on top of the £65 I had already paid for the treatment. I had assumed the trim was included and was not too happy about this.
Also, although the staff were friendly and clearly working hard, the place was very busy and the treatment ended up taking over 4 hours instead of the advertised 2 hours, so I was late for my plans afterwards.
This seemed like a decent place to go for a haircut, but I definitely wouldn't recommend the treatment I had.
I have been going to the same hairdresser for 9 years in North London & new my hair was in poor condition after being told to have full head highlights every 6-8 weeks. From the moment my friend & I walked into Hair Culture salon we were greeted with such a friendly receptionist. And it just got better. My appointment was with Hannah & my friend was booked with Minde. Hannah listened and gave me really good advice on looking after my hair & went on to create a fantastic new style. Also she gave me some good advice on how to achieve a colour that would restore my hair without bleaching (because they also do highlights without bleaching!)& help maintain a good condition. I loved every minute of the experience & was so impressed by the professionalism & the knowledge that I received. My friend was equally pleased with her experience. I am going to this salon for a while now. I have booked appointments with Hannah for my colour in advance! I definitely recommend to everyone.
This salon is one of the top hairdressers in London and you can choose whether you wish a stylist or anybody higher up the hierarchy to do your hair; this does of course depend on your needs and the cost is obviously higher if you wish the hairdressing manager to charge.
I have been here once with my husband. We were treated very well and felt really pampered during our time. The salon as a whole is very cozy and deserves a lot of credit for its services, even though it is more expensive than your standard hairdressers or barbers.
Quite possibly the best haircut and colour I have ever had. My husband is very pleased with his haircut and whole service as well. I asked someone with a great hair style where she had it done and she sent us here. Lots of compliments!
I asked for an easy maintanance textured box that could be messed to to look funky but what I got was frumpy and middle aged. I am hoping this was in part down to the styling and will calm down in a few days when I have the right products.
