Had a facial here the other week. Arrived at the address but didn't know which buzzer to press. Had to phone the therapist to let her know that I was outside the property. Was greeted by Cinzia and shown to the treatment room. Room was rather dark and lacked ambience. We engaged in some chit chat, I exchanged some personal details and I was then asked to strip. Rather than leaving the room while I took my clothes off, the therapist remained in the room chatting to me. I found this rather uncomfortable. Rather loud classical music was played in the background while I was having my facial done. The quality of the facial was ok. It was neither good or bad, but certainly good value for money. When the facial was over, Cinzia wanted me to commit to making another appointment with her. I wasn't keen but she insisted the if I booked now that I would get a discount. I continued to make my excuses but she just didn't seem to get the hint. I felt really awkward with her pushyness. Eventually she gave up and I left. Would I come back, probably no.
Therapist texted me details on how to find the venue on the day (which is in her flat) so I didn't get lost. It's a 10 minute walk from the station so quite easy to find. The massage itself was very good. It was my very first stone massage so wasn't sure what to expect. She did talk quite a bit throughout the massage so difficult to relax completely but she's nice enough so I didn't mind too much. I didn't get the hard sell as others have mentioned, maybe because she was very busy that day! I've booked to go back for another massage.
Cinzia was caring, kind and made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. I left feeling refreshed and cannot wait to go back for another hot stone massage! Will recommend to my friends.
A very relaxing and refreshing facial with a hot stone massage. Cinzia was so friendly and caring, she couldn't do enough to make me feel relaxed and comfortable. Will be going back for more treatments! Thank you.
The therapist was a little disorganised as when I first arrived for my booked appointment, she was not available and so I had to re-book and return a few days later, which was very inconvenient given that I had hung around after work to go to the 7.45pm appointment rather than going home first. To compensate me for this, the therapist offered me a free back massage along with my facial. I agreed. The facial was an average Dermalogica facial, nothing special, but the freebie deep tissue massage was actually very good. It was uncomfortable and at points painful during the treatment but my shoulders were visibly lower after the treatment, with a lot of tension gone from my shoulders and back. The therapist also used hot stones to help with this treatment. One downside was the hard-sell by the therapist which began as soon as I entered, and also after the treatment - trying to sell me various products, get me signed up to her facebook page, book more facials and massages before I had even had a chance to go home and see the results. This made the experience feel pressured, rather than relaxing. The therapist even asked me if I was trying to lose weight, which was insulting (I am currently on a diet and trying to lose some winter weigt but at a size 12, I am hardly obese) and was critical of my skin (I do have acne) so the therapist was not very sensitive and so I did not leave feeling fantastic and confident and relaxed as I usually do after beauty treatments.
